I am grievously late to recommending the THREE!!!! extraordinary stories I got this year, presented below in alphabetical order because they are all equal in my heart and all exceptionally excellent:

This is adorable and perfect from Hennessy and Jordan squabbling to Declan being annoyed to Adam pretending they’re not as gross as Declan and Jordan - and Ronan being surprised that he’s enjoying himself and happy enough for Declan to admit an emotional secret!

Now, I wrote two things for Yuletide this year:
nihilism and you for Topaz_Eyes (Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022))
Kindness is strategic and necessary.
Joy has to deal with A Lot, but let's be fair, Jobu had to deal with EEAO, okay?

There's so much to do in French's books - I do hope she writes us another Squad mystery, though.

Poor Boots, scarred for life - luckily Bruno won’t have ANY scars for life now! This was flippin’ ADORABLE and so so fun - Miss Scrimmage, werewolf hunting BADASS - Diane and Cathy coming through in the clutch, Boots and his loyal pining/adoration, Bruno "frothing at the mouth, even"!
